October 2011 Officer of the Month: Officer Aaron Quarles
On 10/10/11, Officer Quarles heard a gun shot in close proximity to him. He then observed 2 males fighting on a parking lot and immediately responded. Through aggresive Police work Officers Chamblin and 
Clark produced 6 VMCSL arrests including 3 cases that were Trafficking 2nd. Officer Chamblin also seized a sawed-off shotgun that resulted in a Unlawful Possession case wherein state warrants were issued and the case is being entertained but the United States Attorney’s office. Officer Chamblin and Clark also arrested a subject for Tampering 1st with warrants being issued. They have also arrested several subjects for Felony warrants including Probation Violations to Burglary 1st. Total charges for the month of August included 20 Felonies, 5 Misdemeanors and 20 City Charges.
