June 2010 Officers of the Month: Officer Adrian Patton and Officer Andrew Kleffner

During the month of June, Officer Adrian Patton and Andrew Kleffner had a total 20 felony charges, 5 Misdemeanor and 12 ordinance violations.  They also currently lead the District in year-to-date totals.  A notable arrest for the month of June included the arrest for and recovery of 4 handguns (including two taken during a burglary from a home) the capture of two escapees and another for possession of 1/2 ounces of cocaine base substance.  In addition to the above self-initiated activitiy/arrests, the Officers were responsible for investigating and completing supplemental reports of all Assault 1st incidents in the 7th District.

May 2010 Officers of the Month: Officer Jennifer Story and Officer Brooks Lindhorst

During the Month of May Officer Jennifer Story and Officer Brooks Lindhorst were recommended as Officer of the Month for their outstanding performance in capturing a violent offender who was wanted for Domestic Assault 1st.   Officer Story and Officer Lindhorst utilizing their outstanding investigative skills were able to locate and arrest this violent offender who was wanted for shooting his girlfriend 5 times.

April 2010 Officers of the Month: Officer Ryan Barone & Officer George Henry

Officers Ryan Barone and George Henry performed their tasks with exceptional consistency in all areas of their assigned duties.  The highlight of ther self-initiated activity included the arrest of a subject for Assault 1st on a Law Enforcement Officer.  Within 24 hours they also took another subject into custody who was wanted on three counts of Assault 1st on a Law Enforcement Officer.                                                                    

There were other outstanding arrests to praise these Officers including a Domestic Assault 2nd, DWI, Trafficking 2nd and Domestic Assault 3rd.  Besides these accolades both Officers continually lead their platoon in traffic summonses and parking tags issued.  These impressive statistics were accomplished while still completing calls for service in their beat area.

March 2010 Officer of the Month: Officer John Stevens

During the month of March, Officer Stevens was instrumental in the recovery of two guns in two seperate incidents.  On 3-5-2010, Officer Stevens responded to assist other Officers on a call for a “Flourishing.”  Upon hearing the description, he located the subject in the area and recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun, which the subject hid in the area.

On 3-12-2010, Officer Stevens responded to a call for a “Suspicious person with drugs.”  Upon arriving, he was able to identify the subjects involved and again found a loaded handgun in the gangway, where the suspect attempted to hide it.  In both cases the guns were stolen from within the city of St. Louis.

February 2010 Officers of the Month: Officer Andrew Kleffner & Officer Adrian Patton

During the month of February Officers Kleffner and Patton have continued to demonstrate a commitment to public safety.  On February 16, Officers Kleffner and Patton received a call in regards to the shot spotter for one shot fired in the area of 1514 Hamilton.  Officers responded to the area and observed a subject matching the description given by the caller.  The Officers approached the subject at which time he attempted to discard a firearm underneath a vehicle.  The Officers recovered a loaded 9mm pistol.  

On February 26, Officers Patton and Kleffner attempted to conduct a pedestrian check on a subject at 1900 Hamilton, when the subject removed a handgun from his waistband and began running.  A foot pursuit ended when the subject was apprehended and arrested.  The Officers recovered a 22 caliber semi auto pistol from the subject.  With the arrest of these two subjects, two firearms were removed from the streets and potentially dangerous individuals away from society.
